Sec. 2-74.  Notices of claims.
The city secretary's office is hereby designated as the place of official filing of any notice that is
required or permitted to be given to the city under section 101.101 of the Texas Civil Practice and
Remedies Code or section 11 of article IX of the city Charter, or both. The city secretary shall maintain a
record of the date and time that each notice is filed and shall forward each notice or a copy thereof to
the city attorney or his designee for disposition. Any notice that is not filed with the city secretary's
office in accordance with this section shall be presumed not to have been received by the city.

Sec. 2-95.  Requests for accident reports.
Any person requesting copies of accident reports from the police department must furnish a request
for such report signed by the person involved authorizing the delivery of such copy to the applicant
therefor and releasing such department from all claims arising by reason of having furnished such
report.
