Flat Rate Fees

In most cases, I charge a flat rate to handle a Houston criminal defense case from
start to finish.  Trial fees are separate.  Regardless of the
number of times we go to criminal court or the number of hours
spent working on the  criminal case, the fee does not go up.

This has had the effect of increasing the number of cases I get
dismissed.  Some defense attorneys charge every time they go
to court, this forces the client to decide whether its worth the
spending the additional money in the gamble that the outcome
might be better the next time they come to criminal court.

This Houston Criminal Defense Lawyer does not charge every
time we go to court, the decision on whether or not to reset the
case can be made on the merits alone.

Houston Criminal Defense with an Expectation of Winning

My philosophy is to try to get every case dismissed.  As you
might imagine, most defendant's cases are not dismissed.
However, some attorneys prejudge their own clients cases to
their detriment.  Even if I think your case is very weak, I will still
try to persuade the D.A. that the case is horrible and should be
dismissed.  This has resulted in many additional cases being
dismissed for my clients.  It is also an effective negotiating
strategy.

Getting What YOU Want

Often, there can be negotiated a variety of outcomes in any
particular criminal case.  Thats why I take the time to explain the
consequences of each choice and find out the needs and wants
of my clients.  Then I go get them the result they want.

An experienced Houston criminal lawyer can protect your rights,
ensure you receive fair treatment, and make a tremendous
difference in your case and how it will affect you for the rest of your
life. As an attorney, Andy Nolen's philosophy is grounded in the
strong belief that his clients should be fully informed about every
aspect of their case as it progresses.  You need a good attorney who
will prepare your case thoroughly and who will make a strong and
reasonable presentation to the court.

Being charged with any crime is a frightening experience. This is
especially true for a person who has never had contact with the
criminal justice system before. Suddenly, you find yourself thrust
into a world you never imagined you would be a part of, and
subjected to indignities you never thought you would experience.
The stress of being the subject of an investigation or the trauma of
being arrested and booked into a jail can truly be overwhelming.
For some people, the experience is so traumatic that it even makes
them question their most basic assumptions about what kind of
person they are. Fortunately, being arrested or charged with a
crime is not the end of the world.
